[mgp-users 00902] filter, system, xsystem

Hi all,
I'm new to MagicPoint and I'm experiencing problems using the above
reported commands. [ I'm using mgp 1.09a on a debian sid on a i386 ].

I read the FAQs and read that system and xsystem don't work under some
window managers, well which are the window managers under which those
commands work? :-) I tried sawfish+gnone and window maker but the system
and xsystem examples from sample.mgp don't work.

I'm also unable to use the filter command and I don't know if I'm
missing something.

Follows a simple slide that I wish to see working because currently I
see only:

   Title
   ls -l
   system "xeyes"
   xsystem "xclock")

---- begginning of the slide ----
%include "default.mgp"
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
%page

Title

%pause
ls -l
%filter "ls -l"
%endfilter
%pause
system "xeyes"
%system "xeyes -geometry %50x20+25+60"
%pause
xsystem "xclock"
%xsystem "xclock -geometry %30x30+25+60 -update 1 -bg white -fg blue -hands green"
%pause
The End.
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
---- end of the slide ----

TIA,
Cheers.
