I believe Sven said he's using Debian, there's no rpm in Debian ;-)
Anyway, yes - I think that could be considered as a bug. I'm submitting
one about that right now (against package vflib2, if you like to track
the outcome). I hope that the package maintainer is responsive.
For the start, there's a /usr/sbin/update-vfontcap script, maybe that
helps for the start? I haven't used it yet though. It seems like you
have to edit /etc/vfont/00vflib2 and call the script then. I don't know
what fonts to put in there though.
