(mgp-users 00355) Fonts in mgp

	Hello!

I am successfuly using mgp with .ttf fonts. 

But is ti possible to use other fonts provided by X font server?
These font are giving me headaches. 

%xfont "helvetica-medium-r" "iso8859-1" 

gives me a helvetica font and it is scaled crappy since it is bitmap font.

%xfont "helvetica-medium-r" "iso8859-2"

that should give me latin2 font gives me default times latin1.

If I try using Type1 fonts to get smooth scaling with 

%xfont "arial-medium-r" "iso8859-1" 
or
%xfont "arial-medium-r" 

I get:

  can't load font size 30 (nor font in similar size) for font
  <arial-medium-r:30:NULL>, glyph 0x0061

%xfont "arial-medium-r" "iso8859-2"
gives:

  can't load font size 30 (nor font in similar size) for font
  <times-medium-r:30:NULL>, glyph 0x00b9

This behaviour hasn't changed from 1.06a to the latest snapshots. 

I am using --enable-locales with configure.

How do I get Type1 fonts working? How do I get "iso8859-2" directive
working?
