Last evening, I grabbed the rpm and installed it on my server. I want to
learn to build presentations so I can use mgp on a trip in a few weeks. I
need pointers to information on fonts.
When I try to run the tutorial (/usr/doc/mgp-991206/samples/tutorial.mgp,
the text doesn't show up. I get the background, but no text. And,
apparently, no way to end the show. Looking at the aterm from which it was
run, I find error messages about vfont in default.mgp: vfont is not
appropriate for my system.
Reading default.mgp, I see a reference to README.fonts, but I don't seem
to have that on my system. I'm running on a RH 6.1 system with a bunch of
postscript, Type 1 fonts. Where do I read how to declare these ps fonts as
the defaults rather than `vfonts' or TrueType fonts?
Thanks,
Rich
