NEMO Extended Support: Solution space to be investigated

• Routing Protocol

  • does not scale to wide-area network
  • only valid within an IGP
  • a MIP-based solution is needed for inter-IGP
  • interesting for a limited number of NEMO types

• Renumbering:

  • Get a topologically correct prefix
  • Change of address does not maintain ongoing sessions
  • a MIP-based solution is needed
  • How to perform RO ?

• Alternatives to Mobile-IP-like solutions look interesting but:

  • could only be combined with other propositions
  • still need a basic Mobile IP solution
