Hello,

I have recently started using magicpoint on an older lap top which
couldn't cope with much heavier applications such as kpresenter... it
was way too slow and took almost forever to produce slides.

I am using RedHat 7.3 and magicpoint 1.09 (I can't find any rpms for RH
7.3 and mgp 1.10) 

I tihnk magicpoint is brilliant, but I have two problems.

1. Although I have produced a .mgprc file with the path to true type
font directory (tfdir) , a (presumably) default X-font always comes up.
I ask for arial and get a times-like font. What am I doing wrong?

2. I use magicpoint for projecting songs in church. I have the
individual songs in their own files which I combine to get the session
of songs. The individual files work fine, but when combined the second
and subsequent songs lose the background for the first page only-
defaults to black.

Song 2, page 2-- this shows correctly

Can you please tell me why this happens and what I'm doing wrong? Why do
these work fine as individual files but not when joined together?
