Hello,
thought the following observation might be of interest to other
mgp users as well:
Meanwhile I have found a way to create high quality TTFonts
on Linux using only the free stuff shipped with Linux!
a) pfaedit can convert PFB/PFA (PS Type1 Fonts) to TTF
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/pfaedit/)
b) High quality PFB-Fonts are shipped with Latex
(see /usr/share/texmf/fonts/type1)
or with ghostscript (see /usr/share/fonts/type1/gsfonts)
Thus it is possible to create a collection of TTF with
"on board means" on Linux.
